Art Exhibition
I came to art after a head injury a few years ago, discovering in it a space to breathe, explore, and reconnect with the world. What began as simple curiosity grew into a passion for capturing what I see — and sometimes what I imagine.
Pastels became my first love, especially drawing dogs. I’ve taken many commissions from photographs and met countless “new friends” along the way. I also create portraits of some of the dogs helped by the charity Broken Biscuits, with the intention of donating a percentage of each piece sold to support their incredible work helping disabled and rescue dogs regain their freedom.
My work later expanded after connecting with awardwinning photojournalist Simon Townsley, whose images of life in Afghanistan inspired a powerful and humbling new direction in my art.
I’m now building my own creative space at https://northofobscura.com where I can wander freely between subjects and mediums. I’d love for you to join me there.

*I am really pleased that John Davis of Alpine Craft Designs will be sharing the exhibition space with me for the month of June. He creates beautifully crafted pieces from solid wood, sometimes enhancing pieces with coloured acrylics.
